NakedSphynxLake Policies

At NakedSphynxLake, Our top priority is the health, safety, and lifelong well being of every kitten. By placing a deposit or purchasing a kitten, you agree to the following policies.

Adoption & Reservation

  • Kittens are placed on a first approved, first served basis.
  • A non- refundable deposit is required to reserve a kitten.
  • Deposits are applied to the total purchase price.
  • We reserve the right to refuse a sale if we feel a home is not the right fit.

Pricing & Payments

  • Pet Sphynx kittens start at $2900
  • Odd/blue eyes and select kittens may be $3500
  • Payment plans may be available on a case by case basis.
  • Full payment must be completed before the kitten leaves our care.

Health Guarantee

All kittens leave our home

  • Vet Checked
  • Fixed
  • Age appropriate vaccinations
  • Dewormed
  • Healthy at the time of leaving

We perform routine health testing within our breeding program. including yearly HCM scans on all adult cats.

Note: No breeder can guarantee a kitten will never develop health issues.

HCM Awareness

Sphynx cats are well known to be at risk for Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM).

  • HCM can occur in any living being animals or humans and cannot be fully controlled or prevented, even with responsible breeding.
  • All breeding cats are scanned yearly.
  • HCM can develop at any time in a cat’s life.
  • This is not a reflection of the breeder.

Recommendation Yearly heart scans starting at 1 year of age, and maintaining pet insurance. Early detection is key, and HCM is not always a death sentence.

Pet Insurance

  • All kittens leave with Trupanion insurance coverage.
  • Buyers agree to maintain insurance after pickup.
  • Insurance helps cover emergencies and unexpected veterinary costs.

Buyer Responsibility

  • Routine and emergency veterinary care.
  • Sphynx Cats require a high- protein diet to support their metabolism.
  • We recommend Life’s Abundance or an equivalent high quality diet.
  • They are not like typical outdoor cats and require indoor living and Specialized care.
  • Proper daily care and attention.

Note: you must be financially prepared for all routine and emergency expenses, including proper nutrition and veterinary care.

Contract

  • All kittens are sold under a signed contract.
  • Failure to follow contract terms may void guarantees.

Replacement Policy

  • Replacement kitten may be offered in the event of genetic related loss.
  • A necropsy ( autopsy) is required for confirmation.
  • No refunds are provided.
  • If the original kitten was purchased at a discounted price, that discount amount will be applied toward the replacement kitten.
  • The buyer will be responsible for paying the remaining difference between the discounted price and the replacement kittens full price.

Return Policy

  • If you are no longer able to care for your kitten, it must be returned to us.
  • No refunds will be given for returned kittens.
  • The kitten may not be rehomed, sold , or surrendered to a shelter without contacting us first.

Pickup & Transport

  • Local pickup : Available at our location
  • hand delivery : $1.00 per mile. Price is subject to change at any time.
  • Flight Nanny
  • If you’re flying in, we can meet you at MCI ( Kansas City Airport) or Springfield Missouri Airport
  • Airport Handling Fee :$75 flat fee per trip to cover our time, parking, and meeting with the Flight nanny to ensure a safe, stress free handoff for your kitten.
  • Full payment is required before transport.

Home Visits & Buyer Support

  • We do not allow home visits. This helps protect the health and safety of our kittens and ensures they remain in a controlled, stress free environment.
  • We understand that buying a kitten online can feel uncertain, especially with so many scammers out there. That’s why we offer video calls and phone chats to answer all your questions, show you our kittens, and help you feel completely comfortable before bringing your new kitten home.
